About MJ Reiners

MJ Reiners, CEO, founded Summerland Education LLC in 2011 to enable organizations to leverage internal resources and develop high performing work teams in order to reach their business goals. Ms. Reiners has the expertise to execute organization-wide projects effectively while saving significant dollars, time, and stress. With 22 years of working with executives and board members across the country, her career highlights include:

  • leading 15+ enterprise installations at prestigious healthcare organizations
  • managing a $350 million project partnering with 200 staff members
  • successfully advising a billion-dollar enterprise for a go-live at 250 locations on one day, saving literally decades of work

This experience led her to create a novel and unique energy engineering model and author the best-selling Amazon book Engineering an Epiphany.

Experienced Leader and Transformation Expert

Prior to Summerland, Ms. Reiners spent 10 years at Epic as an Implementation and Client Relations Executive and became known for her ability to turn around projects and lead teams that produce noteworthy success. Before joining Epic, she held the role of Vice President of Applications at SSM Healthcare managing a team of 40 professionals. This team conducted implementations, optimization, and support for the mission-critical applications of SSM, the first healthcare enterprise to win the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality award for quality care and process improvement.

MJ loves to teach and has provided advanced implementation and leadership courses to hundreds of project managers in the US and a developing team in Amsterdam. She has spoken at IHI and HIMSS on the topic of Organization Performance Improvement and was named one of the “25 IT People to Watch” by Computerworld Magazine for her leadership and mediation skills.

MJ enjoys helping organizations manage the human side of change by providing practical information with a creative spark and breaking down barriers without being intimidating. She is passionate about her client’s success and happiness so projects are limited to provide dedicated time and energy to each organization.
